Honda has removed the curtain from its brand new RS concept at the 2018 International Motor Show in Indonesia. The company has made this car look like new generation Honda Brio which will be revealed later this year. Even the Honda first generation Amaze was also built on Brio platform. Apart from that, the new generation Brio shares its underpinnings with the soon-to-be-launched second generation Honda Amaze subcompact sedan.
Honda has created this small size RS concept as a sporty car, with a lot of spare parts installed in the car for better performance on urban roads. These parts include the sporty front bumper, side skirts, hood scoop, side gills and LED strips on the bumpers, which really give the look of a sports car.
Honda small RS concept gets a large size Roof spoiler, large alloy wheels and a faux diffuser in the rear. Along with this, the grille in the front of the car is similar to the Honda Mobilio facelift, which was launched in Indonesia last year and the tail light look like the ones on the Ford Figo. There is no information about the car’s cabin yet, although we think the company will provide Touchscreen Infotainment System with features like Android Auto and Apple Car Play in this car. At present Honda has not revealed the details on the dimensions of the car, but it is expected to get better cabin space than in the present model.
The car that launches in Indonesia will be similar to the Honda Brio in India and it will have a 1.2-liter VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine capable of generating 88 bhp power and 109 Nm peak torque. Honda has equipped the car with a 5-speed manual gearbox and it is believed that the company can provide an upgraded engine with even better power with the car. Even though this car is not very much liked in India, but it is sold quite in other Asian countries. It seems that the second generation of Honda Brio will not be launched in India, but the company will continue to sell its previous generation of Brio in India.
