When we already had bigger variants from BMW what we all were waiting was for a smaller displacement from BMW which most of the people can afford and finally BMW Motorrad India has confirmed about the launch of new G 310GS adventure and streetfighter model G 310R. It will be launched by mid-half of next year soon after BMW making a good dealership in Indian market. Now they have got dealerships in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad, by mid of 2018 BMW will have more dealerships in India. The G310 R model has already unveiled in Auto Expo 2016 and the G310GS will be unveiled in 2018 AutoExpo.
The G 310GS comes with same 313 cc, four-stroke, single cylinder engine which will produce maximum power of 34ps@9500rpm and maximum torque of 28Nm@7500rpm. The bore and stroke is 80.0 x 62.1 mm. It has got a Electronic fuel injection, BMS-E2 system and 6-speed gear transmission. The G 310GS comes with Multiple-disc clutch. The front brake of this bike is 300mm, Single disc, Four-piston calipers, Radially mounted and rear one is 240 mm, Single disc, Floating disc, Single-piston caliper.
The kerb weight of BMW G 310GS is 169.5 kg and overall height is 1,080 mm, length is 2,075 mm and width is 880 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 11.00 litres. The BMW G 310GS will be a perfect competitor for KTM Duke 390, Bajaj Dominar 400, Mahindra Mojo 300 etc. It is expected that the adventure model would be priced more higher than the streetfighter one. The expected price of BMW G 310 GS is around INR 2.5-2.75 lakhs.
