Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, had showcased its Adventures Bike XPulse 200 in the Auto Expo 2018 in February. Now its launch details and prices have been exposed. Hero XPulse 200 will replace Hero Impulse, which has been discontinued by the company long ago.
The 2018 Hero XPulse 200 is expected to launch anytime after June by this year. And the report has come out that new XPulse 200 prices in India will be within 1 lakh rupees. If that happens, 2018 Hero XPulse 200 will become India’s most affordable adventure bike. Right now, the Himalayan royal Enfield receives this. Malo Le Masson, Global Head of Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp said that 70 percent of the premium market is below Rs. 1 lakh. And that’s why the company is planning to launch the Xtreme 200 and XPulse in the Indian market.
Speaking of the Hero XPulse 200 engine, it has a 200cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which generates power of 18.1 bhp and peak torque of 17.2 Nm. This engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox transmission. The Xtreme 200R has also been powered by the same engine of XPulse 200. But it is expected to deliver different power output.
The XPluse 200 is featured with full LED headlamps, big windscreen, high-set beak-shape front mudguard and also features knuckle guards. Apart from that, the engine skid plate, upswept exhaust muffler, dual-purpose tyres and spoke wheel etc. are provided for the best rides in the water and as well as on off-road. The company has given it a bigger stance and a simple body panel.
Hero XPulse 200 has Long Telescopic Forks in Front and Mono shock Suspension in the rear. It gets a 21-inch front tyre and a 19-inch rear tyre. Both the wheels of the Hero XPulse 200 have a disc brake and its ground clearance is 220 millimetres. Along with that, Xpulse will be offered with single-channel ABS which can be switched off during the off-road ride.
