Maruti launched their 3rd generation Swift. The Swift comes with much bigger changes than the market model currently available. The new grille, the new LED headlights, and the big change in the new Swift is the position of the rear door handles. The rear handles have been moved up to the top edge of the door frame DLO and now sits next to the C-pillar. The new projector headlamps play an important role in revealing the swift stylish look. The projector headlamps with LED Day Time running lights are only available in high variants.
The company has also made significant changes in the interior. The new Swift’s interior is on the all black theme. The new 7.0 inch touchscreen infotainment system is an important attraction with the connectivity of Apple carplay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. Instead of regular AC Ventures, the stylish circular AC Ventures will be set up. The new SPORT 3D SPORT FLATBOARD steering give us a different driving feel. The new Swift’s seats are much more comfortable to replace. The high variants also have features like Start / Stop Button, Reverse Parking Camera and Automatic Climate Control features.
When comes to the engine, 1.2-litre K12 VVT petrol engine generates 61kW of power and 113Nm of torque. 1.3 liter diesel engine delivers 55.2 KW WC and 190 Nm torque. These two engines come in two kinds of gearboxes. The 5-speed manual gearbox and 5 speed AMT gear box. When looking at the side profile, first notice the wheel base. The size of the wheel base increased to 20mm longer and a 40mm jump in overall width. This has enabled an increase in space inside the car, which now offers more headroom, for legroom you can see a 7cm increase. At the same time the boot space is 265 liters. The new Swift’s suspension is good for driving and traveling comfort. The new brake and sound arrangements have also improved. The new Swift is available in six colors. The prices starting from Rs 5 lakh and go up to Rs 7.9 lakh.
