Yes it is confirmed!. The Tivoli hope ends after Mahindra has announced that there won’t be anymore SsangYong vehicles to the country. The Executive Director of Mahindra has announced the latest sad news that there is no more plan to bring any SsangYong vehicles. It gave pure disappointment to the people while they were waiting for the Korean Manufactured Tivoli. Tivoli was expected to launch for 12lakhs.
If SsangYong Tivoli was launched in India it would be a perfect competitor for Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Ford Ecosport, Jeep Compass etc. The Tivoli is powered by 1.6-litre e-XGi160 Petrol and c1.6-litre Diesel engine models, the petrol engine will produce peak power of 126bhp and peak torque of 160Nm and diesel engine has maximum power of 113bhp & maximum torque of 300Nm. The SsangYong Tivoli petrol model has got both AMT & Manual gear transmission system and diesel one has 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission. The mileage that company claims for petrol model is 13kmpl & diesel is 18kmpl.
Overall, there would have been an perfect competition if Tivoli was launched but unlikely there won’t be anymore SsangYong vehicles. Mahindra is planning to launch new SUV as like the same platform of Tivoli next year. They are planning to launch new SUV with 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engine.
